ROLE OBJECTIVE

• R&D/Product Development Engineer is part of Product development team responsible to independently carry out PCB designs using Altium, Component library creation & Cable design activities.

Responsibilities:

• Library creation/Management, Schematics Layout, logic symbol creations and Schematic capture.

• Execute hardware test with oscilloscopes, signal generator, analyzers.

• Generating BOM, Part Placing, GERBER Files, Production, Assembly (Fabrication of components)

• Physical verification and testing of boards and Troubleshooting.

• Execute simulations in a quick turnaround time and in sync with the Product Development milestone requirements.

• Cable design & wire harness and proficiency in AutoCAD.

• Work with cross functional product development teams in supporting product development.

• Create engineering documentation that allows manufacturing of PCBAs, including schematics, bills of materials, assembly drawings.

• Working in a multi-disciplinary team, consisting of at least hardware and mechanical engineers.

• Properly document and internally communicate all technical discoveries, inventions,

and intellectual property. Maintain confidential and proprietary information and communications as property of TE

Candidate Desired Profile:

FUNCTIONAL:

Mandatory:

• Strong Knowledge in Designing Multilayer PCB Schematic and Routing.

• Strong knowledge of optEM cable design tool & PCB design software like Altium.

• Sound knowledge of Electrical Engineering fundamentals

• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings/product prints

• Interpretation of simulation results & translating into product design

• Expert in executing Package implementation from Concept to High Volume Manufacturing, Extensive experience in design realization of package configurations like TSV-BGA, WLCSP, Hybrid MC, Sip, SOIC, QFN, QFP, etc.

• Read, analyse and interpret Gerber data, schematics, diagrams, datasheets, MCAD data and technical procedures.

• Good Conceptual, problem solving and Analytical Skills

• Working knowledge of product life cycle, ability to perform design activity & produce deliverables.

• Basic Knowledge in quality tools ( 8D, Why Why analysis, Fish bone….)

Preferred:

• Ability to train others on Product development / Engineering Tools

• Ability to learn new skills, tools/software in the simulation domain.

• Ability to come up with new solutions based on analysis and modify designs for evaluation.

• Product knowledge on connectors, cable harness, relays is an advantage.

• Exposure to High Voltage connectors and Creepage (EMC) calculation

• Ability to understand specification for validation as per US CAR / LV 214 / Similar Specification

• Knowledge about the crimping technologies, Ultrasonic welding technologies, Laser welding technologies

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Around 5-8 years of research/industrial simulation experience in medical, automobile, aerospace or any product company.

• B.E/Tech of Engineering in Electronics
